  • Rhabdomyolysis
    • Consider with hyperkalemia and acute renal failure

      • Fluid resuscitation – UOP > 200-300 ml/hr
      • Urine alkalinization in CK > 6000
  • Deep posterior compartment of the leg
    • Second most common site for compartment syndrome
    • Most difficult to assess
    • Out of scope of EM practice for most practitioners
  • Remember the stabilizing rod for intubating LMA
    • Helps remove the LMA while keeping the ETT in place
    • Located in the bottom drawer of the airway carts
